The whole point of this is to raise funds for the Cornwall Air Ambulance so this is the serious bit.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity. So it’s the most efficient way to donate – saving time and cutting costs for the charity and avoiding you or I handling cash.
Just follow the Just Giving link, click on the big red DONATE button and off you go.
You can leave your name and a message (rude or otherwise!) or you can donate completely anonymously – JustGiving will have your details but I will never know them or who you are.
If you are a tax payer, please take the Gift Aid option. This transfers the tax that you will have paid to earn that money to the charity, so for every £10 you donate, the charity receives £12.50.
If you are a higher rate taxpayer, you can also make a claim to HMRC and get another £2.50 back, so the charity gets £12.50 but you only spend £7.50. Bargain!
If you are not a tax payer, please don’t Gift Aid, as then HMRC will expect you to pay for the tax relief – the charity may still get £12.50 but you will pay £12.50.
